Copyright & Ownership
Last updated September 2, 2026
Restylez only works on designs you own or are allowed to use. This page explains what that means, how we check, and what happens if someone gets it wrong. Restylez is operated by Docs2Video.com.
The principle
A reference design — a flyer, a poster, a template, a brand image, a PowerPoint — is someone's work. Restylez is built to make your work go further, not to copy someone else's. So the rule is simple: if you didn't make it, buy it, or get permission to use it, don't bring it here.
What counts as "yours to use"
- Designs, templates and images you bought or downloaded free (a marketplace template, a template pack, a PowerPoint theme, a free stock image) whose license lets you customise them and use them commercially.
- Work you or your team made.
- Your company's own brand — its logo, colours, and materials — or a client's brand you are engaged to work on.
- Material you are licensed to adapt (for example, a franchise template handed to you by head office).
What does not count: a design you found online, a competitor's flyer, a screenshot of someone's deck, another company's logo, or a template you haven't paid for.
How we confirm ownership
- A confirmation on every job. Before any remake, restyle, deck, PowerPoint edit or pack build, you must tick a box confirming the design and content are yours to use. It is required every time, not once. Ticking it is a statement we rely on.
- Logos are never invented. Restylez will not draw a logo, brand mark, badge or emblem. Logos come only from files you upload or from your own website when you save a brand — and every logo is graded so you know it's a real file, not an approximation.
- References give their look, not their words. When a design is used as a style reference, Restylez borrows its colours, mood and typography — and is explicitly instructed to take none of its words, logos or photos.
- No stock, no scraping of others. The brand tool reads the website address you give it. It is meant for your own site or a client's; it does not search the web for other people's designs.
- Records. Each job records that the confirmation was given, by which account, and when. If a claim arrives, we can trace it.
Bought or free templates and images
Templates and images you buy on Creative Market, Envato, Etsy and similar marketplaces — and free ones offered under a license that allows customisation and commercial use — let you adapt them and use the result in your own work — that is exactly what Restylez does, and making many pieces from one bought template for your business or your clients is normal use. What no template license allows is reselling or redistributing the template itself, or turning your Restylez pieces into new templates to sell. Some marketplaces sell different license levels (for example a single-project license versus an extended one); you are responsible for buying the level your use needs. Restylez is not affiliated with any marketplace.
Trademarks and other people's brands
Don't use Restylez to reproduce another company's logo or make material that could be mistaken for theirs. If your work legitimately involves a third-party brand (you are their agency, their franchisee, their partner), you are responsible for having that permission.
If you believe your work was used without permission
Email hello@restylez.app with: a link to or copy of your original, a description of where you saw it used, your contact details, and a statement that you own the work or represent the owner. We will review promptly, remove infringing material, and repeat offenders lose their accounts. We follow the notice-and-takedown process of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
What you own when Restylez is done
The pieces Restylez makes from your own material are yours. We don't claim rights in your inputs or outputs, and we don't use them to train AI models or show them to anyone else. Keep in mind that a template's original licence still applies to the parts of it that came from the template.
Restylez is a Docs2Video.com product.
