The Editor — fix it by chat

For anyone whose finished piece is nearly right and needs one thing changed.

Step by step

Open a design from the Library
Every row in the Library has an Edit button. Press it and the design opens in the Editor, big, with its fix box beside it.

Look it over
The design fills the left side. The top row tells you how many fix rounds it has had and which version you’re looking at. Library, More sizes and Download are always at the top right.

Tell it what’s wrong
Type it in the fix box, or press Speak. Use the ready-made lines for common fixes: make the headline bigger, fix the spelling, move the photo, put the original logo back. Only what you name changes — nothing else moves.

Press “Fix it”
It takes about a minute. The button reads “Fixing… about a minute” while it works.

Check the new version
The fixed design replaces the old one on the left. Press Download to save it, or send another fix — each round starts from the version you’re looking at.

Go back to any version
Every round is kept as a small thumbnail under the design. Click one to see it; press “Keep this version” to make it the one the Library shows.

Three fix rounds are free on every piece; after that a round costs $3.
Name the thing and the change. “Make the price line bolder” beats “make it pop”.
One change per round gives the cleanest result. Two or three is fine; a whole list is not.
The Editor works on designs in this browser’s Library. It can’t open a design made on another device.

If something goes wrong

The messages the page can show, and what to do.

“That design isn’t in your library on this device.”: The link points at a design this browser doesn’t have. Go to the Library and press Edit on the one you want.
“That fix failed — say it a different way and try again.”: The instruction was too vague. Say what to change and how: “change 6AM to 5:30AM in the date line”.
“Could not reach the maker — try again.”: Your connection dropped for a moment. Check you’re online and press the button again. A job that fails is never charged.
“You’re out of credits. Add some to keep going.”: Your balance can’t cover this piece. Add credits on the Account page — your work carries on from where you left off. Nothing was charged.
