Photo shoot — new photos of you, any setting

For anyone who wants new photos of themselves without booking a photographer — a profile, a website, a speaker bio, a holiday card.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Step 1 · Your photos

“Just me” or “Two of us”. Add 3 to 5 photos of each person — a clear face, good light, only that person, no sunglasses or hats, and different angles. Drop them on the box, paste them, or choose files. We check each one (one face, the same person, clear enough) before anything is made, and you tick the box to say they are your photos and you are 18 or older. Your photos are private and deleted after 30 days, or now with “Delete my photos”.

  2. 2

Step 2 · Pick your shoot

Four scenes are picked to start — change them, pick fewer (we shoot your picks in different poses), or “Describe your own”. “Make it yours” changes the place, what you wear, the mood, the light and the framing for every photo. Anything you type is turned into a photo brief first, and you see one line of what will be shot before anything is made.

  3. 3

    Step 3 · New photos

Four watermarked previews, drawn at the same time — about 30 seconds each. Every photo says whether it looks like you; one that might not has a free “Try again”. “Change” redraws one photo with the change you type, and “Try 4 more” makes another set.

  4. 4

    Step 4 · Keep

Keep a photo and the watermark comes off: the full 2048 × 2560 photo is saved to your My designs. “Make it bigger” makes a 4096 × 5120 copy for free. Both have a Download button.

If something goes wrong

The messages the page can show, and what to do.

“We can’t find a face in this photo.”
Use a photo where your face is clear and not too small — not a group photo, and not from far away.
“This photo doesn’t look like the same person as photo 1.”
Every photo in a box should be of the same person. Remove the one marked in red.
“May not look like you”
Not an error. Our check wasn’t sure that photo looks like you, so it says so. Press “Try again” — the first try is free — or keep it if you like it.
“You’ve used today’s free previews.”
Each preview photo uses one of the day’s free previews. Come back tomorrow, or go Pro.
“Could not reach the maker — try again.”
Your connection dropped for a moment. Check you’re online and press the button again. A job that fails is never charged.
“You’re out of credits. Add some to keep going.”
Your balance can’t cover this piece. Add credits on the Account page — your work carries on from where you left off. Nothing was charged.
