Headshots — a real photograph of you

For anyone who needs a proper picture of themselves — a website, LinkedIn, a team page, a speaker bio.

Open Headshots
Step by step
  1. 1
    Add a photo

A phone snap is fine. A clear, front-on picture of your face works best — looking at the camera, in good light, nothing covering your face. It does not need to be a portrait already; a normal photo of you is exactly right.

  2. 2
Add two or three more if you have them

One photo is enough to start. Two to four from different angles is better, and costs nothing extra. The reason is simple: one photo shows one angle and one light, and everything else has to be guessed — more pictures to work from means less guessing, and a face that comes back more like yours.

  3. 3
    Pick the look

Corporate is a clean studio portrait for a website or LinkedIn. Editorial is warmer and a little cinematic. Outdoor is natural light and open air. Glamour is evening styling. The look decides the clothes, the background and the lighting — never your face.

  4. 4
    Press the button

That is the whole form. We read your face from the photo — roughly what age to draw, your hair, whether you wear glasses — because the drawing genuinely needs to know, and the picture already shows it. Four portraits are made at once, which takes about a minute.

  5. 5
    Keep the ones you like

Each portrait is checked against your original photo before you see it, and the ones that look most like you come first. Anything we were less sure about is still shown, marked — if you like it, it is yours. Every portrait has its own Download button, and the set saves to your Library.

Tips
  • A sharp, front-on photo makes more difference than anything else you can do. A picture taken at an angle, in dim light, or with your head tilted leaves more for us to invent — and invented detail is where a face stops looking like you.
  • Add more than one photo. Three different angles cost no more and take no longer, and the face comes back noticeably closer.
  • We read your age from the photo rather than asking. That is not politeness — a drawing left to guess an age guesses older, so reading it is what keeps you looking your own age.
  • The line under the results says what we read — the age and the hair. If that reads wrong, the portraits will be wrong in the same direction, and a clearer photo is the fix.
  • The look never touches your face. It sets the clothes, the background and the light, so you can run the same photo through Corporate and Glamour and get the same person twice.
  • Portraits are made in portrait shape, 1024 by 1536, which is what a website or a profile wants.
  • It is 1,200 credits for the set of four, charged once. A run that produces nothing is not charged at all.

Add a photo of yourself first.
Nothing has been added yet. Press the dashed box to browse for a picture, or drop one on it.
We could not make a portrait from that photo. A clearer, front-on picture works best.
The photo was too dark, too small, or the face too far from the camera for us to work from. Try one where your face fills more of the frame. Nothing was charged.
Those photos add up to more than we can send at once.
Four large photos from a modern phone can be too much for one upload. Remove one, or use smaller copies.
Less like you — keep it if you disagree
Not an error. Our check thought that portrait drifted from your photo, so it is marked rather than hidden — you can see it and judge for yourself. If you like it, download it.
Your portraits are below, but we could not save them to your Library.
The portraits were made and are on screen; only the save failed. Download the ones you want before you close the page, then try again.
Could not reach the maker — try again.
Your connection dropped for a moment. Check you’re online and press the button again. A job that fails is never charged.
You’re out of credits. Add some to keep going.
Your balance can’t cover this piece. Add credits on the Account page — your work carries on from where you left off. Nothing was charged.
